Oh what an evening! It was all about the Big B, and some of the best of Bollywood came out to show their love for the shahenshah himself, Amitabh Bachchan! The legendary actor was honored at the inauguration of the art institute, Osian's Publishing and Design House. In celebration of its opening the insititue published Bachchanalia- the films and memorabilia of Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan was all smiles as he was presented Bachchanalia at the splashy event. The inauguration which was held at the Tata Theatre inside of the NCPA at Nariman Point, Mumbai. Superstars like Aamir Khan showed up to honor and greet the Big B. It was a treat for the shutterbugs when Aamir Khan hugged and greeted Amitabh Bachchan. Of course the entire Bachchan family was present to join the festivities. Amitabh Bachchan's son, Abhishek Bachchan and beautiful daughter in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan watched happily as Amitabh Bachchan expressed his appreciation for Bachchanalia. HASTEY HASTEY releases today and though a few feel that the film has got a little delayed since it was earlier supposed to arrive late last year, film's leading lady Nisha Rawal refuses to buy the statement.
"I don't think HASTEY HASTEY has delayed", defends Nisha, "I don't know why some people are saying so".

Narrating her journey on the film, Nisha reveals, "See, I signed the project just a little more than a year back. I remember it was May 2007. After some time we had an extensive shoot in the US of A where we were stationed for 40-45 days. A considerable part of the film was canned there and after that all us actors, Jimmy, Rajpal, Monishka and myself, came back to India."

Bollywood bombshell and Outrageous bikini babe Sherlyn Chopra is going to set the Kannada and southern film industry on fire. Other established southern sirens had better watch out, for Sherlyn is determined to leave no stone unturned to give them a run for their money.
"When I do something I give it my hundred per cent. I will do what ever it takes to be the best and make an impression in Tollywood," says a fiery Sherlyn when asked how she would compete with the existing lot. Sherlyn is known for her uncanny ability to look sexy in anything she wears, whether it's a skirt or jeans or her trade mark G-strings.

According to reliable sources, Sherlyn Chopra will be seen gyrating to a steaming hot item number in the Kannada movie titled MADEHSHA starring Shivraj Kumar, son of Dr Raj Kumar. The lead heroine is not yet finalized, but sources said that Sherlyn was the most likely choice for the lead.

MADESHSHA is directed by Ravi Srivatsa and is produced by Govardhan Murthy. Sherlyn is expected to shoot the sizzling hot item number in Bangalore during the second or third week of March this year. The item song will be choreographed by Imran Sardhariya and is expected to be one of the most expensive productions ever made in the Kannada film industry.

Many other Bollywood actresses including Malaika Arora Khan and Sameera Reddy were approached for this item number, but Sherlyn Chopra won hands down for her Outrageous and wild, devil-may-dare image, curvaceous body and great dancing feet.

Sherlyn when contacted refused to deny or confirm the news. "My manager is talking to them, we are discussing certain issues, you can ask him if it's confirmed or not," was all that the sex bomb would say.

Insiders say that Sherlyn Chopra is being paid Rs 35 lakh for doing the item song. Apparently, the producer-director duo were so keen on having Sherlyn do the item number that they agreed to pay her the outrageous sum, even though other well-known girls in the industry were quoting only half of Sherlyn's price.

Her music video and album Outrageous was showcased to a standing ovation in Barcelona, Spain at the Global Mobile World Awards. Sherlyn is slated to be working on a couple of Hollywood projects as well.

Bollywood's Bipasha Basu has been voted the Sexiest Asian Woman in the World following a poll conducted by Britain largest selling Asian newspaper. This should certainly generate enough interest in the actress's forthcoming film Goal.


The newspaper has described the actress as "a living embodiment of sexual attractiveness…………. whose acting ability, beauty and charm are capable of arousing great interest from the world's media." The 42-year-old Dhak-Dhak girl, Madhuri Dixit Nene, who is making her comeback with Aaja Nachle, was the runner-up. Last year's winner, Priyanka Chopra, bagged the third position. The other Indian actresses on the list include Aishwarya Rai at No. 4, Shilpa Shetty at No. 6, Katrina Kaif at 7, Kareena Kapoor at 8 and Lara Dutta on No. 9. Bipasha was also the winner in 2005 and is glad to get the title back again. The newspaper is next coming up with Sexiest Asian Men in the World contest. It is believed that Shah Rukh Khan is the favorite.

Till about a few weeks, there were plans for Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan to take on Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Though the clash of MEHBOOBA and SARKAR RAJ never happened due to the former opting out of the 6th June release, there are some newcomers who stood up to the challenge.
Believe it or not but as per the current release plans, as many as 5 debutant actors are ganging up to take on the mighty Bachchan family. Even though SARKAR RAJ enjoys the luxury of being certainly the most keenly awaited movie of the season, there are three other flicks that have shown interest in making their presence felt. These are AAMIR, HUMSEY HAI JAHAAN and ZINDAGI TERE NAAM, all of which are now aiming for a 6th June release.

These three films are special for its cast since each of them comes with a bunch of fresh talent. While AAMIR is touted to be the toughest competitor in the filed due to presence of popular TV star Rajeev Khandelwal, who would be making his big screen debut in this UTV flick, HUMSEY HAI JAHAAN has a genetic factor in it's favor. The film is made by Mashhoor Amrohi, who comes from the Amrohi lineage and makes his debut opposite new-find Vishakha Singh.

Third flick of the season is relatively lightweight in spite of the much touted Mithun-Ranjeeta comeback. ZINDAGI TERE NAAM marks the debut of Aseem Ali Khan and Priyanka Mehra who would be hoping that their act is noticed in spite of the entire crowd surrounding them.

Rajeev Khandelwal, Mashhoor Amrohi, Vishakha Singh, Aseem Ali Khan, Priyanka Mehra and the Bachchans - Now that's indeed some crowd building on out there!
